Spirit Untamed (2021) online

Spirit Untamed is an upcoming American computer-animated western musical adventure film produced by DreamWorks Animation and distributed by Universal Pictures. The film is being directed by Elaine Bogan and co-directed by Ennio Torresan Jr., in their feature directorial debuts, from a screenplay written by Aury Wallington and Kristin Hahn. It is based on the Netflix animated television series Spirit Riding Free, created by Wallington, and the second theatrical release in the Spirit franchise after the traditional animation film Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron (2002).

It is set to star Isabela Merced, Jake Gyllenhaal, Marsai Martin, Mckenna Grace, Julianne Moore, Walton Goggins, and Eiza González. The film will follow a young girl named Lucky Prescott who moved to Miradero, a small frontier town, where she meets a wild kiger mustang named Spirit and immediately bonds with him. Development of the film began in October 2019, and production was done remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Spirit Untamed is scheduled to be released in the United States on June 4, 2021.
