Jujutsu Kaisen 0 (Japanese: 劇場版 呪術廻戦 0, Hepburn: Gekijōban Jujutsu Kaisen Zero, "Jujutsu Kaisen 0: The Movie") is a 2021 Japanese animated dark fantasy film, based on the manga series Jujutsu Kaisen 0, a prequel to the Jujutsu Kaisen manga series, both created by Gege Akutami. The film, produced by MAPPA and distributed by Toho, premiered theatrically in Japan in December 2021 and will be released in other regions throughout 2022. The film has received positive reviews.
A young isolated high school student named Yuta Okkotsu suffers from a curse from his late girlfriend who follows him everywhere. Yuta’s solution is to completely isolate himself, however, upon meeting a sorcerer named Satoru Gojo who has different plans for him, Yuta decides to follow him to his school, in order to control the power of the curse. As a first year student a Tokyo Metropolitan Technical college, Yuta learns all about Jujutsu arts and how to fight curses. He finally find a place where he belongs and meets many people such as Toge Inumaki, Maki Zenin, and Panda.
