Ayodhi (2023) online

Ayothi is a 2023 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by newcomer R. Manthira Moorthy, starring M. Sasikumar, Preethi Asrani, Yashpal Sharma, and Pugazh in the lead roles. The music was composed by N. R. Raghunanthan with cinematography by Madhesh Manickam and editing by San Lokesh. The film released theatrically on 3 March 2023 and digitally on ZEE5 on 7 April 2023 and opened to highly positive reviews among audience and critics.

We see a family hailing from Ayodhya. It consists of a patriarchal and cold father, a lovely, kind mother, her daughter and a son. They embark on a pilgrimage to Rameswaram in search of spiritual enlightenment. However, their journey takes a turn for the worse when the annoying father picks up a fight with a taxi driver while they are driving. This leads to an accident. Everyone is ok but then they realize the mother has been injured. They take her to the hospital, but they have to transfer her to another hospital, so they need an ambulance. However, the mother passed away on the way to Madurai Hospital (another hospital)

A beautiful sequence clearly depicts how being human is more needed than being just a person. Helping hands just needs nothing just a care from heart irrespective of caste/religion etc. The film ends with this.

Story revolves among a Hindu family from north India and how they are helped by a total stranger.
